Leave it to Cleaver – To start off with I’d like to say I’m glad to see there was a queue video. It set the house up perfectly. The storyline was great in the house and the video made it that much better because it set it up so well. Now moving on to the house itself, it was truly a great house. The theme as I mentioned was pulled off well and there was scents, and sounds used which always can make a house enjoyable seeing as how they helped make the house look and feel like a real live butcher shop and meat processing center. So we have covered the house but what about the scares? The main part to any house is the layout, scares, and detail if you ask me. Cleaver had all that but the scares were there for sure. I had a couple scares. The ending was great and really closed the storyline strong, I won’t ruin it but I will say that it does go well with the storyline which was making the house more enjoyable. Wrapping up this review, I give Leave it to Cleaver a 4 out of 5 on the scale this year. The scares were good which make the house a great one and its strongly pushing a 5.
The Spawning – It was good house and was one of the houses presented by Fangoria. If you followed the website then you’d know about the Sculders and that was cool knowing that those cool looking characters would be in the house. Now the house to begin with was fun, very fun and the opening set looked good and it kept that
Frankenstein: Creation of the Damned – When I first heard that Halloween Horror Nights would be re-imaging Frankenstein into a terrifying creature I was super excited for it. Sure enough they pulled it off well. The set was fantastic and Dr. Frankenstein’s castle looked good. The set was just perfect for a soundstage and I’m glad to see that it was pulled off so well. The layout was nice and lengthy which makes it more enjoyable, and the other thing about this house is that there was also a good amount of scares. Everyone in the house was scaring people left and right which was awesome to see. Moving over to the ratings, I give Frankenstein a 4.5 out of 5 with a great set that everyone is sure to love!
Dracula: Legacy in Blood – Another re-image house that was pulled off well! The classic gothic feel was perfect and you knew that Dracula was sure to be somewhere waiting for you. The set looked fantastic and the scares were everywhere. The length was great to. Once again I was happy with the set and layout and feel of the house. I won’t go too far in detail of the house because I don’t want to ruin it for all of you but I give Dracula a 4.5 out of 5!
The Wolfman – This here was one of my most anticipated houses and it lived up to all expectations of mine! The set was perfect and the theme was pulled off great. I actually felt like I was in the world of the Wolfman. The other thing I thought I’d mention was how good the Wolfman looked. The Wolfman looked perfect and just like the Wolfman seen in the movie trailers. The setting felt like the Wolfman could attack at any time and sure enough, he did attack at any time he pleased. The ending was very strong and spooky which I always enjoy seeing. A good house always has a strong ending and Wolfman delivered in my eyes. The final scares were perfect and left me wanting more. The first 5 out of 5 has been handed out. The Wolfman deserves it.
