I was able to jump in on a Worldsoffun.org tour this afternoon and I was lucky enough to see the tallest bent being lifted into place. Because of it's size it was divided into two pieces and the upper portion was apparently placed after the sun went down. We got a shot of the lower half being hoisted. Track work on the drop continues and the weird shape that we saw in the animation is now visible. I'm not sure how it will affect the ride but it looks like it could give riders a bit of a bump as they head for the 2nd hill. Progress has also continued on the return run and a handful of bents have been placed as the ride turns out of the double down. Track work is progressing in both directions from the turn around.
Work will soon start on bridge piers. A large digger has been brought in to drill down to bedrock and the piers will make up the base of two bridges. One from the maintenance area to the station and the other will make up the bottom of the lift.
