Ben and I were treated to another quick tour of the SVV site this afternoon but recent rain kept us in the truck.  Just like our previous visits we were surprised by the progress.

  • One of the slide towers has been topped off and crews have started on the pumps.
  • The Torrent River now has most of it’s mechanical equipment in place.
  • Storm Blaster has gone vertical and most of it’s support structure is already up.  Portions of the figure 8 finally are up as well.
  • Fencing and landscape work has begun.
  • It looks as if crews could start pouring the deck at anytime.
  • Work on the piers for the bridge that will connect the entrance to the park has been started.
  • Kristal River and Kristal Beach have been dug and are easy to spot under the Storm Blaster structure.
  • Concrete work has progressed on the tube slides that will connect the Torrent River side of the park to the Kristal River side.
