^Well even though you are not excited about it, this will be a huge hit and will completely revitalize the Tom Sawyer's Landing area.  Also with the opening of this area, comes the closing of Splash Harbor.  This is important because there are some big plans for that area in the very near future.

The ride is just looking better and better the more I see it. It's making me want to goto Silver Dollar City even more seeing as how I've not been yet. Maybe next year, maybe next year...... But anyhow as I was saying it's looking good. The theme is looking as if it will be pulled off really well and I for one love seeing when a theme is pulled together nicely. I'm normally not one for getting soaked at a park, that is unless it is a water park. I might have to make an exception here for Silver Dollars new ride.

I'm sad too -- The park is open again Saturday - Wednesday next week, but we'll be out of the country so this is the final update for us this year.

Looks like most people might see their wish granted soon. There's rumors going around that some of the backside of the park will be removed this year in preparation for something big in 2011. I know Splash Harbor has already being removed.

Could be a G-fighter, could be something else. I just hope it's not an Adventure Mountain!

On the topic of RB though, here's a huge set from a guy on SDCFans (pages 3&4): http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=131386&id=512349543&l=375bc261bf

I guess that it's been mentioned that 2011 will bring a wood coaster addition to SDC.  :dunno:

Did anyone else hear this?  And did anyone hear who would be designing it?  The email I got didn't seem legit but I'm hopeful.

A new coaster in 2011 you say? I was going to buy a season pass this season but if their going to get a new roller coaster I might as well hold off till 2011.

GCI makes the news even better and that tid bit about OzCat is encouraging.  I wonder why they moved the trains out to WA?

I wouldn't call it confirmed.  It's best to wait until the park announces it or until GCI containers show up in the parking lot.  It certainly looks promising.

I was expecting an euro-fighter, but I'm glad they're going with this instead. I'm sure they decided on this because it will be a lot cheaper than a heavily themed G-fighter. Now I just wonder how they'll make it fit into that area without destroying the atmosphere more than Geyser Gulch already does. It would be awesome if they enclosed the lift and other parts of the ride with a sawmill type building.

For the record: there was no representative from Herschend Family Entertainment at No Coaster Con.

However WA has confirmed that they are not going to use OzCat's train on Cheetah this season.

You deleted your post with that mentioned GCI.  Are they not part of the rumor either?

The email actually came from a member of our site.  They asked if I had heard about it and I hadn't.  I found it to be believable because of the area that they're closing down and the fact that it's been a rumor for a couple of years now.

I know I haven't been around in awhile but sure is nice to know that you guys are up to your crazy ways. :)  A themed Eurofight would really be the worst choice (I guess just ahead of family coaster)

My choice would be 1st- Gravity Group, followed by a close second GCI.  Sure a flyer would be nice, but I highly doubt they can afford that right now. And if they could why not just spend the money on a GG and a GCI?

^You missed out on a lot of info while you are gone...
Let's just say 2011 will be a GREAT year for SDC.

...and from the sounds of it, Waterboggan is supposed to completely removed by this coming weekend.  Most of it is already down.  Hopefully one of my friends is able to take some pics of this this weekend when he is there at the park.
