Looks like the tore up the old queue path and took out the extra lights that were along it.  Not sure if they have really "broke ground" yet.

When construction equipment starts to be used on a project that seems like breaking ground to me.  It's a lot more progress than survey markers, which can stay up for months before work actually begins.

It was used to tear up the concrete path -- does that mean that a project was started?  I think the project ended when it was all tore up.  lol  :hello: :angel4:

The excavator back near the tree lines leads me to believe that the que was just the beginning.

I agree that the removal of the queue was only the start of this whole process.  I hope that this is indeed THE start of the project, but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.

I think this construction is being discussed in the wrong thread.

Well, I don't think WOF would spend the money on Moving the Boomerang Que Line if they didn't have something planed for the Zinger Que House. I know there has been General Improvements during the last few years and quite a bit this year, but I highly doubt moving a ride entrance would be a part of it. Also I noted that they also changed the exit of the Zulu to the maintenance gate to the ride, they may had moved it for a project back in that area too (But this may be a part of the ride being redone for this year for compliance as they also moved the op panel up onto a new deck).

I wonder if they make Roller Coaster Coasters.

I plan on going on Monday (and getting up early to be there at the early 9AM opening time then.) I'll see what is going on then and I am betting I might see more on Monday than on Saturday anyway. They get some interesting stuff around the park for Psychics Week anyway.

Since I didn't see a link to what are more recent posts are about. We are all pretty much discussing the latest WOF.com blog entry at http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/blog/index.cfm?entry=994d6d5e-ccce-40b8-aa07-7167a03417a6 . It shows some of the groundwork being done around the Zinger Que House and Boomerang Lot.

Tempting, but it will all still be there when Craze comes around -- not like they added anything at VF.

This is really an Ikea trip more than anything.  The wife wants some new stuff for the new house.

If the weather report is right we not even go to Valleyfair.  :sad11:

Our style is more modern/contemporary and NFM is a lot of country stuff.  We're still able to get a lot of stuff from there but it just doesn't fit all of our needs.

Ikea also has swedish meatballs.  ddr

BTW your comment on the official blog gave me a good laugh. Thanks for inadvertently making me feel better while I'm sick.

Went out to the park, we now have a plot of cleared land.
I'm not sure if this will be Project #1 (2009) or Project #2 (Haunt) but I am sure it is one of the two -- leaning towards #2, which makes the flags on Fury Isle so much more interesting

^^  I was thinking maybe they might throw down a big slab of concrete and use it for "Project #2", and then next year use that same slab for a queue for "Project #1."

I am going to guess all three...a new haunt, a new area and a new coaster.  The aerial image just makes me think it's bigger than a coaster.
It's true...if I wear blue pants and a white shirt...I do look like Homer Simpson.
