KANSAS CITY, Mo. − Worlds of Fun amusement park and Harvesters--The
Community Food Network team up again in 2010 to fight hunger with Cans
for Coasters, a month long canned food drive that offers donors a huge
discount on admission. Through August 29, guests bringing
non-perishable canned goods to the parks can purchase Worlds of Fun
tickets for only $25.99 plus tax and Oceans of Fun tickets for $19.99
plus tax.

Harvesters feeds as many as 66,000 people every week in 26 counties by
collecting food and household products, distributing those products to
those in need, and offering educational programs to increase community
awareness to hunger. In 2009, Cans for Coasters provided 56,000 meals
to all ages, children to senior citizens, through Harvesters network
of food pantries, kitchens, and shelters. Harvesters is our regions
only food bank and is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s food
bank network.

New for 2010, park visitors have other ways to access the special
savings provided by Cans for Coasters. Guests can make an online
donation of $2 to the Harvesters "Cans For Coasters" virtual food
drive, at http://parkfeedback.com/t/7585878/15828082/3374/0/
