Raging Wolf Bobs @ Geauga Lake Derailed today?
« on: Jun 17, 2007, 08:19 »
I put this in the Rumors section because I have not heard it confirmed. I saw a  Forum post over at Coaster Buzz that said there were no injuries but there was major damage to the trains and the track and that I will be closed the rest of the season.

Park GM pretty much made it clear at Q&A at Coaster EXT that they have no money to fix ANYTHING.

Thats sucks. Just that park or all of CF has no money to fix anything? If it's just the park they could send Dominator to WOF where it would see the TLC it will need over the years.

Just Geauga Lake.  His answers to the questions were really weird.  Basically he said at one point that they do not have a 5 year plan or even a 1 year plan for the park.  The big thing that they wanted to get done was to build the new water park which is now complete and now the goal is to make the park profitable.

I give the park 4 years

Actually, I'm pretty sure it just vallied. Nothing actually came off the track.
But I left the Q&A session about half way through because the guy thought he was at gunpoint or something, so I may have missed that particular part of the interview.

^Dude, did you look at any of the photos? At least one car was partially sideways on the track - that's not what we call a valley.

It did quite a bit of damage to the track too -- this is not a quick fix by any means.

Where are there pictures? At EXT, the train was covered up by tarp, but it didn't look serious at all.

I remember this incident kind of scared me. It happened just a few days after I went to the park. With all the flat turns, I wasn't surprised.

The comment about them having no money to fix anything explains what was about to happen to the park. Why fix something when it is just going to be sold off in a few months.
