Vampires can insult people.

Except usually we're just calling them delicious. Unless it's a guy, then we tell them their girlfriend is ugleh.

Er. I do.

As long as were not calling them Edward or Isabella, were not getting into trouble here. I wonder how many people heard that part of the spiel at Lore of The Vampire?

Last year, a lot. I haven't heard any "OMG EDWARD"s this year. Only one person has mentioned Twilight so far, that I am aware of.

It's nice.

Were you working the pole again last night?  We came through pretty late and there were 3 of you up there.

I saw Brandon, Jason and Ben at Overlord's Awakening tonight. I tried saying hi to you guys, but none of you saw me. =/

Ben - I'm excited for whatever you're working on. ;)
Jason - When do we get to see the photos? :)

I'll probably put the photos up later in the week.  It looks like a good number of them turned out.

Yes. You might have come through right before/after there were people coming through with cameras to film the house, so everybody jumped up there to be attention whores. I was mad because I'd been up there doing my -job- and not being lazy about it.

-.- Some of the girls we have are just plain lazy about the dancing. Spin a little, damn it...

But yeah. I was up there a lot last night.

I was with the crew, the good lookin' fella at the front.  The big smelly guy was Ben and girlie man was Brandon.  I did find it strange that they ditched their post at the bar and piled on to the stage.

It made me so mad. I was like "Really?" They got all excited that there was a film crew there, I guess. The really tall girl made me angry the most, just because she's a lazy dancer. All she does is swivel her hips and walk around the pole a bit and she calls it dancing.

I'm still sore about it all. I thought it was really unprofessional that they all wanted to be on stage and get the attention, when they weren't supposed to be there at that time. We rotate. They'd literally been up there like five minutes before.

For 2010, I'd like to see the park bring the HANGING show to WOF like they have at KBF.  We have the perfect venue there at Canine Junction and it would an instant hit.

Well, Haunt is officially over for me now. I'm not working the last weekend since I have a leadership conference/Model United Nations conference in DC.

I must say, I think Vamp could have done better this year. They should have given us more guidance. In fact, I think they could give all the houses more guidance. We'd be much better and more revered if they helped us out a little.

I'm disappointed with Vamp, though. Many of our workers dropped out early, so we were constantly understaffed. Club Blood was nice, but having worked it, I feel they should have changed the whole house into something new. The old Vamp + Club Blood really didn't seem to work. Each house is competing against the other, and Vamp has always been number one, or at least number two, since it opened. This year, last I checked, we came in number 6.

So either Vamp needs to be changed, or Vamp needs to go. This whole "best of both worlds" thing isn't working.

Are you talking about a suspension show? http://www.flickr.com/photos/10760664@N04/  I have a friend in AZ that has done this.

No. But Criss Angel did that way before he was famous... lol.

The Hanging is a comedy show making fun of basically everything that happened within the last year. I've never been to Knotts, but I've seen video of it online. It looks really good.

No, I'm talking about the HANGING - Think Bill and Ted's show from HHN only at KBF

Loving the video Ben, very nice work as always. I love the ending especially because that spiel is my favorite. Very nice job mixing the "Rise my children, for tonight we disicrate Worlds of Fun!". Very nice touch to the video.

This years project was focused on the parade and roaming characters.  The parade didn't work out so well because of the darkness.

I posted some of the roaming characters here http://coastercommunity.com/gallery2/v/Parks/wof/HalloWeekends/?g2_page=2

They start about half way down.  Can anyone name all of them for me?

I think I'm little late on giving my reviews over this years haunt but as I always say better late than never!

Overlords Awaking- I liked it. It was a change of pace for me at least. The only thing I didn't like was how crowded the whole place was.

Lair of The Vampire/Club Blood- I had high expections for this house that it didn't meet. The first floor was the same as last year, although some vampire did get a good scare of off me in their. The second floor I liked the detail they put into the subway scene but it took up alot of space other than that I have nothing good to write about the second floor, the strippers were a nice touch tho!

Carn Evil- Amazing. When I walked through every clown did there job to the fullest plus some! My favorite character would have to be that crazy ring leader he was hilarious.

Outlaws Revenge- I'm not a huge fan of this scare zone. Its very hard to tell if your inside the scare zone or not. The characters did an ok job but I would imagine tho that its hard to scare people in their tho.

Bloodshed- I didn't get a chance to go through. The line was way pass the theater. Anyone have a review over this house?

Asylum Island- Same problem with Bloodshed. The line was too long.

Camp- I liked this maze alot. Got scared alot in there. The only part that bummed me out was half way through the maze we caught to the group in front of us who was stop by a lead for smoking.

Dominion of Doom- It was fun to walk through. The characters got a couple good scares off of me, especially at the end. But I think I'm ready to let Dominion of Doom go and get something like Cornstalkers or something.

Doll Factory- This maze has really amped there game up since last year. The detail in their was great, the scares were amazing, All the characters were doing there job perfectly. I have nothing bad to say about this maze.

Fright Zone- My favorite scare zone of the year. I think the reason I liked this zone so much was that I jumped out of my pants a few times! The characters have thE most perfect spot's to hide.

I really liked haunt this for sure I'm coming back next year. But I think ill be more prepare by buying those front of the line passes for Asylum Island, Bloodshed, and Camp.

Smoking in Camp seems like one of the worst ideas ever.
