Are you planning on going out there after you get off work? This rain kinda stinks, but is should be clearing up. And I'm planning on going out there later.

Since I knew the weather was going to be crappy this morning I figured I would sleep in and go later when it is supposed to be a little warmer.  I mainly just want to get a few coaster rides in an take a look at the off-season improvements.  I figure I will wait a few weeks to make a full day of it when it is warmer.

I think we will all agree... atleast its not snowing!

I plan to be out there around 6PM or so.  Looks like the sun should be out and it should be pretty warm (high of 67)

It was a pretty good opening day. At least it wasn't like last year where it snowed. LOL!

Yay for being on Fool the Guesser Americana for 2 and a half hours! Woot woot! Talk about exhausting! But it went pretty well. I got rid of a few Peanut Butter Jelly-time bananas, and made a few people happy, so I'd say that it was pretty good. =)

I saw TonyBlackJack a few times in the park. Sot hat was pretty sweet. I also saw Brandon with a few PR people. I don't think he noticed me though. LOL!
Speaking of PR, I totally thought I was in trouble today because I had my Supervisor and 3 PR girls walk up to me with serious looks. LOL! I asked them if there was anything wrong, and they said No. They just wanted to interview me for the Cornerstone Post, which is essentially the employee newsletter. So that was pretty spiffy! =)

I had a fun time today, I got to teach a few new kids in my section some tricks and how to run certain games, so that was pretty eventful.

Oh! And I had to go to first aid because of a cut I got. ICK! But otherwise, the day was pretty good. It's nice getting back into the groove of things!

I won't be working tomorrow, so maybe I'll see some of you next weekend!
Ride ON!

The wife and I had a good time.  Bumped into Robby and he talked us into hanging around and taking a 2nd lap around the park.  Bumped into Matt and Railblazer as well.

Patriot is a great way to start the year.  Mamba was running fast through the brakes, or at least the bunny hops seemed more intense.

Timber Wolf was braking hard on the drop but the improved areas were noticeable.

The new slushy stand by Zulu set us back $10.  We got the refillable yard-o-slushy.  Combined Bubble Gun with Strawberry Twizler.  It's $3 to refill the yard-o.

The Prowler sign looks awesome.  Riding the train is a great view of the ride.  GCI guys were all over it.

The park looked fresh and clean.  The amount of work that they can do in two weeks to get the place ready is unreal.  A lot of people really pour their heart and soul into that place to make sure we have a great time.  12+ hour days can't be fun.  My hat is off to team WoF. :occasion14:

Just got home. We had a great day. We were there at Open and stayed until about 8.

Mamba was running fast enough that the on ride photo missed us completely on our front row ride. We got about 8 rides in. We rode with Dustijn and Missy on one trip and Matt on another.

Timberwolf seemed to be flying for us on 2 of our 3 rides the 3rd not so much.

Around 7pm we were able to watch some Prowler Testing from Zulu. Wish we could of witnessed it from closer but beggars can't be choosers. I am happy to see it running. I wish I had a stop watch to time how much time it takes from the release of the chain lift to the break run because it gets there in a hurry. Before leaving we noticed who we just assumed was a GCI guy riding front row on Prowler and rubbing it in by having his hands in the air the whole ride!

Bangerang was up to no good like usual, however we still rode it once.

Got on Patriot twice. Nothing much to report there.

Zak likes the Taxis so we rode those once and for the first time ever he completed the circuit without hitting the rail.

We got one ride a piece on Voyager and Monsoon.

Spinning Dragons Was not spinning much for us this time oh well. We only took it for a spin once.

Sea Dragon twice.

Last but not least we rode the train twice once by ourselves and once with Robby, His Nieces, Rachel, Dustijn, and Missy on the other. Train is the Train. Nicknamed the Prowler Express for now on. GCI crew was all over it today.

Looked like you were having a blast at stump the guesser Snoopy!

Great busy day now bedtime good night!

It's approximately 45 seconds and we think that it's an average speed of 40mph.  This is far from accurate though but it's probably pretty close.

I don't believe there is such a thing as too quick.  Constant speed sounds like a good time to me.

Mamba was running fast enough that the on ride photo missed us completely on our front row ride.
The reflector on the side of the cars at each row tells the camera when to take the pic.  It was missing for the front row for most of the morning and afternoon, they put up a reflector sticker and it was working the rest of the day saturday and today.

The full-time crew at worlds of fun got to ride prowler today, they were cycling it all morning till a little after noon.

It looks sweet!

I'm just having visions of Voyage... which we all know I do not like.
However this ride has the advantage of NOT being designed by Gravity Suck.. er Group so that should make all the difference.

I think that if it is so quick it makes the ride feel shorter then it is, it can be too fast. However I am not one of the people who is real concerned about that and I have not been on Voyage yet to comment on that. I am pretty sure I will love this ride, but only time can tell!

How can we forget that you don't like coasters that are actually good.  nutkick

HaHa! That is probably heavily opinionated as some people like really smooth coaster, some like them rough, some like them fast, and some like coasters that go up side down. Funny to think he doesn't actually like good coasters though HaHa! I have never been on a GG I am deprived. 2010 marks a lot of first for me I wish we could just fast forward through 2009.

Oh lardy - next you're going to tell me you like Inta-muck's Maverick too.   pokepoke

After having been on over 500 coasters, I don't have to pretend that I like BAD coasters just because they are "park X"  :P ;)

I was out there from 11am - 5pm today. Not too busy but kinda annoying that there was every school, church, and chior in the entire midwest there.

I DID get tew rides on Prowler. I got a 15 min wait for middle and a 40 minute wait for front.

I didn't feel like  creating a new thread so I am asking here.  Are the next 4 Fridays buy-out nights?  I am really surprised they aren't open the Friday of Labor Day weekend.
