Looks like an awesome addition to the park! Hopefully I can get out there and check it out in person this summer.

Does anyone know if all the lights are permanently staying up or are they going to be taken down when the event is over?

Sounded like they are staying up.  They are in the process of putting "wraps" over the lights to help deter nature and people from messing with them (on the trees).  That is still a work in progress though.

It was very cool to see! Pictures really don't do it justice, no offense to anyone who has displayed there shots. But, it really is something that you should walk through to get the full experience.
My family (including all three of my daughters) were there Friday night, and all of my girls were in amazement with everything there was to see.  They enjoyed it so much, we couldn't help but go back over to WOF after swimming at OOF on Saturday.

I got a chance to check the lights out last night.

I was blown away.  And there were a great deal of people still milling around in Europa, which as most of you know used to be a ghost town an hour before closing.

I also got a chance to check out all of it. It seems to be one of the busiest areas at night! I would recommend going to the little temporary shop and buy the special glasses for only like two bucks. I split the cost with a buddy. When you look at the lights it adds either hearts or stars I believe we bought stars). Pretty cool!

Are you talking about Big Spin?
If so the differences are very obvious in the photos.

If I do end up going to San Francisco next year it's gonna be tough which park to choose to goto. Great America or Discovery Kingdom because both look great. How good was Medusa running?

SFDK would be my choice.  It's been a while since we were out there but we really liked SFDK.  I was not a fan of GA.

Bayern Curve! I thought those were all gone!
Good read. It's interesting how CGA and SFGAm started out as sister parks and now they're operated by rival companies. Huh.

Thank you for putting that Mystery House up! I've seen it on Travel Channel numerous times and I love seeing it because it's so unique. They say the lady who owned the house kept adding on wierd new stuff like you saw the doors leading to nowhere etc. Loved the PTR by the way.

But back to my comment on CGA, I was interested mainly for Flight Deck. Looked kinda fun, nothing like Afterburn in Carowinds but still looked good.

Afterburn at Carowinds is a much better ride that Flight Deck at CGA.  However the CGA layout is still quite fun for what it is.

Agreed on the Flight Deck comment it does look like it packs a punch in the layout. I like the helix over the lake a lot. Thats what looks like a ton of fun.

How good was the Giant Dipper? It looks like fun for a classic ride. I just cant decide what all to do if I make it out there next year. Im in San Francisco so dont wanna go to far but your PTRs are making me wanna hit everything!
