Wow...OOF should be upgraded ASAP to stand up against this place. I don't really want to see OOF get more attention than WOF in the near future as I'm not much of a fan of waterparks, but they are just as popular as theme parks in the summer...I like the combined parks idea. I haven't been to OOF in about three years, and with this place in my back yard, I'll never have a reason to go again.

Is that model actually inside the theater? I haven't seen a movie up there in a couple weeks, but I've been meaning to go see The Good Shepherd, I'm going to have to make it up there soon...

yeah worlds/oceans of fun is in for maybe the toughest years starting maybe in '07 but probabaly '08 you think theyll expand the water park at oceans of fun now or build a couple of attractions at WOF in the coming years? who knows they better start planning ahead though :idea1:

That's it.

That seems to be the place where people go to collect info.  If you're linked on there you can expect a huge 2 to 3 day hit.

Hey there, DA (what do you want me to call you on here? :) ). Glad to see you finally post here.

Yeah, I agree about the webcam thing. They did that with Branson Landing, and that was fun to keep up on.

Welcome aboard dramaticaddict  :hello:

It looks like you already have a friend.

I'll try and get out to the Schlitterbahn site sometime in the next week or so.  Today would have been perfect because of the break in the weather.  Either way I don't think that much has changed.

I decided that I didn't want to work very hard this afternoon so I headed over to the Schlitterbahn site.  Nothing has changed since my last visit except for a couple of new flags (small wood stakes in the ground) that are along Parallel.  I'm guessing that these involve utility upgrades.  There are also a handful of new earth movers in the construction lot.

About 2 weeks back a story in the KC Star indicated that a ground breaking announcement was right around the corner.

I believe that they've been tinkering with the designs.

(although with this weather, who knows when it would be worth having a water park... i mean, geeze, the parkinglot down the street is practically a pool...

We drove by the site this afternoon and nothing has changed (as previously mentioned).  The model that was set up at the Legends theater is no longer out either.

On a side note the new Die Hard movie is a great summer action flick.  I had no intentions of seeing it but the wife actually dragged me and I'm glad that she did.  I now await Transformers.  I've heard that there's more than meets the eye.

I don't know what's worse: the fact that you actually said that or the fact that I understood it completely.

It was tops at the box office over the weekend and is a 9.0 on IMDB right now.

I've heard several great word of mouth reviews.
