You can always tell that news is slow when a thread about a waterpark turns into a discussion about upcoming movies. LOL

Yeah, all my friends and I are doing the whole midnight thing for Harry Potter (and again for the book the next week).

And again, I can't begin to tell you how awesome Ratatouille is; I dunno where you heard that it had bad reviews, as it's going to end up at around 95% fresh at Rotten Tomatoes (aka a VERY good rating) and is one of the highest-rated Pixar movies on IMDb.

Im sorry, but my opinion is the Ratatouille looks plain stupid and boring.  :argue:
You obviously haven't seen it if you think that.
Never, never, NEVER has a Pixar movie been at all "stupid" or in any way "boring."
Ratatouille is probably the most entertaining movie I've seen since Cars.

Dustijn, I have no idea where you got bad reviews for Ratatouille. The only problem is a plot that might be just a *little* overcomplicated.

This movie actually rivals Toy Story, IMO.

Yes it rivals Toy Story for the lowest EVER opening weekend sales for a Pixar Movie

Hehe Good one Dustijn.  Actually I have seen a little bit of it, but I walked out on it.  Plus, I said it was My opinion, so don't start going off on other people's opinions.

Title of Movie / Number of Theaters / Per-Theater Average
"Finding Nemo" - 3,374  / $20,821
"Monsters, Inc." -  3,237 / $19,331
"The Incredibles" - 3,933 / $17,917
"Toy Story 2" - 3,236 / $17,734
"Cars" - 3,985 / $15,086
"A Bug's Life" - 2,686 / $12,382
"Ratatouille" - 3,940 / $11,986
"Toy Story" - 2,457 / $11,860

... With "Ratatouille" just barely managing to do as well as "Toy Story" did back when that John Lasseter film was first released to theaters in November of 1995. And then when you factor in what a dollar was worth back in 1995 versus what a dollar is worth today ... You quickly realize that "Ratatouille" actually is Pixar's worst earner to date.

And this somehow means that it's not a good movie?

If profits determine the quality of a movie, than what happened with Spiderman 3?

Toy Story didn't do as well because no one knew who Pixar was. Ratatouille didn't do as well because they didn't advertise as much.

And yet the highest Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of Pixar movies...

I drove by the proposed Schlitterbahn site yesterday and it looks like the 94th St project is wrapping up.  There are also new flags running along the south side of State Ave.  They're red and likely utility based.

Whoops :tard:

I don't know why I had the 19th stuck in my head.

It's probably better that they try and open the entire development at once instead of in 2 phases.

2009 is also Coaster Con... :idea1:

Notice that the name Jeffrey Siebert (a huge name in the ACEr world) is quoted in that article -- I wouldn't be surprised to see Schlitterbahn as another host park if they open in time.

I have went by the site today and it appears they have been doing some tree removal. This is noted by some of the trees that are currently littered around the old Fairgrounds. As of right they are breaking some trees but they have yet started to break ground.
